2nd Annual Village Retreat

Take a break from the city, and join us at a beautiful home in Palos Heights for our second annual Village Church retreat. Last year was an incredible time of community, good times, and rest. You won't want to miss this year! 

All meals are provided and there is no cost to attend. We will stay overnight on Saturday night, and have a worship service Sunday morning (10am) following breakfast. The retreat should wrap up before noon on Sunday.  Regardless if you're able to make it for part or whole, we'd love to have you join!

Park District Pub Trivia Fundraiser

Commercial Park is having a Trivia fundraiser on May 24th from 7-10pm.  This is a great way to show our support and continue to develop relationships.

The event will be held at The Fifty/50 (2047 West Division St). Doors open at 7pm, and trivia will start promptly at 7:30pm. There will be five rounds of trivia, and prizes will be awarded to the top two teams. Tickets are $65 per team of four or $20 per individual in advance, and $75 per team of four or $25 per individual at the door. All proceeds will benefit future programming and events at Commercial Park.

This Christmas Eve, we will be joining Chicago International Evangelical Free Church at their location (2304 W Taylor) for a morning worship service at 10:30AM. Chicago International is the closest church to us within our denomination.  It will be great to celebrate Christmas Eve with them while getting to know their church community!

Join us for a fun evening together ice skating and exploring the Christkrinlmarket!

The Plan:

We will start at the Millennium Park Ice Skating rink at 6:30pm.  The rink is open until 8pm, and there is no charge to skate, but $12 to rent skates if you don't bring your own.  After, we will walk over to the Christkrinlmarket to explore the holiday crafts and enjoy a hot beverage!

Let's help Carrie serve the seniors in her building! Join us as we sing Christmas Carols, and serve cookies and hot cocoa.  We will be hanging out, making new friends, enjoying an evening together!

How you can help:

1. If you'd like to bake, we'd love your help in making some cookies to share.  We are expecting about 25 seniors.

2. If you're able to join, please come 15 minutes early at 5:45pm to help set up.  When you get to the front desk, you can tell them you're helping out with an event in the activity room.  The activity room is on your right about 50 feet down the hallway.
